Old Mammoth Area

The Old Mammoth area in Mammoth Lakes is the area in the southern part of town, and encompasses the Snowcreek golf course and all five phases of the Snowcreek master plan community. A wealth of outdoor activity is at your fingertips in Old Mammoth, including easy access to fabulous Mammoth hiking trails, including Mammoth Rock and the Sherwins, horseback riding in the meadow, camping facilities nearby, the motocross track that hosts the annual Mammoth Motocross, fishing in Mammoth Creek - if you look closely you can usually spot snowboard tracks on the Sherwins for those adventurous enough for the hike up the mountain in the winter time!

Old Mammoth also has easy access to the many shopping and dining alternatives town, some within walking distance to the numerous condominium complexes offering Mammoth vacation rentals. Finally, Old Mammoth is serviced by the town shuttle offering easy access to the ski area and any part of town.
