The Monster Energy Mammoth Motocross
June 22 - July 1
The Monster Energy Mammoth Motocross is set to open on June 22 and run through July 1, the schedule is as follows:
- June 23: Vet Weekend Party in The Village
- June 23-24: Vet | SR | Master Racing
- June 26-27: Mini Racing: 50cc | 65cc | 85cc | Supermini
- June 29: Open | Women | Schoolboy | +25 years Open
- June 30: 250 Championships | FMF Stroke Challenge (All 250cc Class Racing)
- June 30 Championship Weekend Moti-Gras in The Village
- July 1: 450 Chamionships (All 450cc Class Racing)
- Race Days Gates open at 5am, practice begins at 7am, racing begins at 8am.
For Race Days, Adult tickets are $20, Kids 11 and under are $5 and Kids 6 and under are free.

Mammoth 4th of July Festivities
July 4, 2012
Mammoth is a great place to spend the 4th of July holiday, and this year there is a great slate of events for families!
Lion's Club Pancake Breakfast
Start you holiday off right with a great 4th of July breakfast, including orange juice, coffee, sausage and of course, plenty of pancakes! Prices are $7 for adults and $5 for children under 12. The breakfast is located outside, in the Mammoth Mall Parking Lot from 7am to 11am.
7th Annual Footloose Freedom Mile
Hope you didn't eat too many pancakes! The Footloose Freedom Mile starts at 10:10Am on Old Mammoth Road and is a great race for all ages and run immediately before the parade.
The entry fee with am ASICS T-shirt is $25, without $20, with proceeds going to Disabled Sports of the Eastern Sierra.

Mammoth Lakes 4th of July Parade
A great small town atmosphere abounds with a parade and floats for all ages. The parade starts near Angel's on Main Street and runs down to the intersection of Old Mammoth Road and Main Street, and continues on Old Mammoth towards Snowcreek. The parade starts at 11am.

Brought to you by the Mammoth Lakes Foundation this event is expecting up to 30 wineries participate this year, pouring around 120 varieties, and some prominent chefs to delight even the most discriminating palate. 25th Annual Kids Fishing Festival
July 28, 2012, 8a - 3pm
A great event for the kids, the Snowcreek ponds are stocked with large Alpers trout and is free for kids 14 and under. Fishing guides will be on hand to provide instruction on fly fishing and catch-and-release, and rods and reels are provided! For more information, visit KidsFishFest.com.

Great news, it looks as though the LADWP has approved the planned expansion of the Whitmore Sports Complex. In addition to the existing pool, they would be adding a running track and other facilities. Another great option for family recreation in Mammoth.
