Winter has finally returned to Mammoth, with a series of storms slated to hit beginning Wednesday afternoon/evening!
Local and national weather services are forecasting a major pattern change, followed by a series of wet systems over the next week.
MammothWeather.com is forecasting their "best guess" at 5 feet of snow at 10,000 feet, and 2 feet at 8,000 feet. Mammoth Mountain's elevation is 11,053, so it's looking like a ton of snowfall...about time!
Even better, the first system is forecast to be the wettest, laying down a nice ground layer. The following systems are expected to be colder storms, which means high country powder!!!
