2012 Mammoth Mountain Bike Park Opening Day is June 23!
Mammoth Lakes has become a summer destination for mountain bikers as more visitors have discovered the many trails and limitless biking possibilities in the mountains of the Eastern Sierra's.
While mountain bikers have enjoyed Mammoth Mountain in the summer for many years, the sport really took off in Mammoth Lakes
in 1985 when the mountain "officially" opened the Mountain Bike Park, along with its trails and lifts and embraced mountain bike riders.
Now, some 20 years later, Mammoth Mountain is a mecca for mountain biking, and supports the sport all summer long with dedicated facilities and lift access to the mountain's many trails. These facilities include the Mountain Bike Park Adventure Center, more than 100 miles of dirt single-track, 3,100 feet of vertical, the Bike Park Shuttle, Panorama Gondola, and 7 new freeride trails.
Take the Take the 'Bike Park' shuttle from The Village at Mammoth. Mountain bikes are transported to the Main Lodge area free of charge for those who
have purchased a Mountain Bike Park Pass. Mountain bike lessons and rentals are also available.
